General Labourer

Maritime Welding is looking for a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our team. This is a hands-on position involving a variety of tasks, including sandblasting, painting, cleaning, material handling, packaging, and general shop support.

The ideal candidate is motivated, safety-conscious, physically capable, and willing to learn new skills. Previous industrial, manufacturing, or construction experience is an asset but training can be provided to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sandblasting and surface preparation of parts and equipment

• Assist with painting and coating operations

• Clean work areas, equipment, tools, and materials

• Perform material handling using appropriate equipment and safe lifting techniques

• Prepare products and materials for shipping and packaging

• Assist with general shop duties

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Follow company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in a shop, industrial, manufacturing, construction, painting, or sandblasting environment is an asset

• Ability to work safely around tools, equipment, paints, and abrasive materials

• Good physical condition and ability to perform manual labour

• Ability to lift and move materials as required

• Strong attention to detail
